SILVANELE

    This project reflects on global migratory flows on our common planet, past, present and future. About the right to seek new opportunities regardless of the vital needs of each individual, either climate change, political ideas, extreme poverty, injustices, threats of all kinds, for getting better job opportunities, enjoying the diversity of this wonderful planet, or simply continuing growing as an universal, cosmopolitan and free individual.

    The works emerge from the reinterpretation of symbology and iconography of different ancestral cultures such as the Aztecs, Mayas, Incas, Celts,..., origin of the present civilizations that are or have been migrating from south to north, from east to west, or vice versa, from Africa, South America, Central America, Asia and Europe almost always cruising seas and oceans to reach the precious overseas( ULTRAMAR in Spanish)...the unknown chimera on the other side of the water.

    Este  proyecto reflexiona sobre los flujos migratorios globales en nuestro planeta común, en  el pasado, el presente y el futuro. Acerca del derecho a buscar nuevas oportunidades independientemente de las necesidades vitales de cada individuo, ya sean cambios climáticos, ideas políticas, pobreza extrema, injusticias,  amenazas  de todo tipo o simplemente por conseguir mejores  oportunidades de trabajo o disfrutar de la diversidad de este maravilloso planeta sin propietario único, además de crecer como individuo universal, cosmopolita y libre.

     

      Las obras surgen a partir de la reinterpretación de simbología  e iconografía de diferentes culturas ancestrales como los aztecas, mayas, incas, celtas,..., origen de las civilizaciones actuales que están o han estado en  movimiento de sur a norte, de este a oeste, o viceversa, desde África, Sudamérica, Centroamérica, Asia y Europa casi siempre surcando mares y océanos para alcanzar el preciado ultramar...la quimera desconocida al otro lado del agua.
